The Maasai tribe are an ethnic group of indigenous Africans settled in Kenya and Northern Tanzania. They are one of the very few current tribes that still honor and retain their customs and traditions, lifestyle as well of course. They are easily recognizable due to their tradition robe, called a Shuka. It is mostly red or orange, and very vibrant and bright cloth. Red represents Maasai culture and is believed to scare off lions. Maasai jewelry is also plentiful and iconic: Maasai women wear various colors of plentiful jewelry, typically wearing bead-decorated collars to represent their clan, and many bracelets.
